Safe Comment is part of the Lotsofkids Family of Sites.  As with many of our sites, it was born out of a personal need.  When we started The Large Family Network, we were excited at the prospect of using comment graphics to communicate with fellow members. Problem was, while there are literally hundreds of sites which offer comment graphics, most are filled with objectionable content.  The sites we visited were littered with advertisements and pop-ups, oftentime featuring sexually explicit images--something we didn't want our children seeing over our shoulders.  In addition, many sites also loaded spyware and tracking software on our machines.  Even some of the nicer, less-intrusive sites featured graphics with profanity and off-color images. We understand and respect that people have a right to make and offer such graphics, but it was frustrating that there so few sites safe enough for our children to view. After getting a particularly nasty virus from simply looking for a birthday comment, we decided there had to be something better. As a result, Safe Comment was born.

Safe Comment is committed to offering family-friendly comments and graphics. At this time, we are ad-free. However due to high hosting costs, we may consider hosting ads in the future.  As with all of our sites, we will adhere to the same strict criteria of only featuring ads for family-friendly sites and products, and will not allow intrusive pop-ups or spyware.  We are very supportive of promoting small and home-based business, and will focus any advertising in those areas.
